Profound Vibra+
Vibration Monitoring Services use a varied range of
equipment when monitoring vibration but our current preferred equipment is the
"Profound Vibra +" which gives us an incredible amount of data when
monitoring vibration on construction & demolition sites. The great specification
with the Profound Vibra + is receiving real-time live-to-web monitoring, live
PPV and the battery life lasts up to 8 weeks on extended batteries, this works
really well as it keeps costs to a minimum which is good for our clients as this
means we have to visit site fewer times.

Machine Condition Monitoring
Bearings are critical components used extensively
in numerous types of equipment & plant. If they fail without warning this
can result in expensive repair & replacement costs.
Vibration Condition Monitoring is a valuable tool
as part of a predictive maintenance strategy & is widely used for detecting
& diagnosing equipment faults before they cause expensive machine failures.

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
Portable Appliance
Testing (PAT)
This
is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances and
equipment to ensure that they are safe to use. It's essential to carry out a
visual examination as well as testing for each piece of Equipment/Appliance. "The Electricity at Work Regulations
1989" requires that any electrical equipment that has the potential to
cause injury is maintained in a safe condition. We at VMS provide PAT
Testing, a visual inspection and compile a register of equipment on site, by keeping records
and labelling to create a useful management tool for monitoring and reviewing.Tuesday, 19 July 2016

Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005
What is hand-arm vibration?
Hand-arm
vibration is vibration transmitted from work processes into workers' hands and
arms. It can be caused by operating hand-held power tools, such as road
breakers, and hand-guided equipment, such as powered lawnmowers, or by holding
materials being processed by machines, such as pedestal grinders.
By
law employer's must assess and identify measures to eliminate or reduce risks
from exposure to hand-arm vibration so that they can protect their employees
from risks to their health
Here
at VMS we can carry out these measurements and advise the best methods to
reduce exposure for your employees .

News: Norwhich Castle Museum
VMS recently carried out a Vibration Survey to assess the affects of a large fire work display on the structure and display cabinets within Norwhich Castle, Norfolk.
VMS Thermal Imaging Surveys
The thermal imaging surveys that are carried out by us will help detect any potential faults, without the need to shut down any machinery. Just some of the faults that can be detected with a thermal survey include; overloaded lighting circuits, overheated motors bearings, pumps, fans and motors. This averts fires and impending shutdowns that can be critical to commercial and manufacturing operations.
