Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005
What is hand-arm vibration?
Hand-arm
vibration is vibration transmitted from work processes into workers' hands and
arms. It can be caused by operating hand-held power tools, such as road
breakers, and hand-guided equipment, such as powered lawnmowers, or by holding
materials being processed by machines, such as pedestal grinders.
By
law employer's must assess and identify measures to eliminate or reduce risks
from exposure to hand-arm vibration so that they can protect their employees
from risks to their health
Here
at VMS we can carry out these measurements and advise the best methods to
reduce exposure for your employees .

News: Norwhich Castle Museum
VMS recently carried out a Vibration Survey to assess the affects of a large fire work display on the structure and display cabinets within Norwhich Castle, Norfolk.
VMS Thermal Imaging Surveys
The thermal imaging surveys that are carried out by us will help detect any potential faults, without the need to shut down any machinery. Just some of the faults that can be detected with a thermal survey include; overloaded lighting circuits, overheated motors bearings, pumps, fans and motors. This averts fires and impending shutdowns that can be critical to commercial and manufacturing operations.
